Fashionable Gym Pants

Filed under: Clothing — admin @ 7:06 am

Although a lot of people at the gym I go to are pretty fashionable and well-dressed, I never used to put a lot of attention into getting the right gym workout clothes. For gym pants, I would just wear whatever pair of sweatpants I had at the time. This usually worked pretty well for me. Generally, my sweats were a little too lose and baggy, but they were pretty comfortable. After half an hour or so on the treadmill or the elliptical trainer, however, things were radically different. I would be pretty tired out, and my so-called gym pant would not feel so comfortable anymore. They would soak up water, start to chafe me, and in general feel icky, sticky, and wet. That is why I decided to get new gym pants.

There are many different kinds of thinking for people using gym workout pants. Do not pay attention to any of the hype. The most crucial thing is that you pick gym pants that are comfortable for you. Some people like to use a leotard, or some kind of under-body stretch pants when they work out. Even if you don’t like the way they look, they can be very comfortable. They can prevent chafing, wick sweat away from your body, and regulate your temperature.

For other people, less is more when it comes to gym pants. I know a lot of people who like to simply wear a pair of warm-up pants over some underwear and call it a day. This is an especially popular style of gym pants among guys in my area. Sometimes, I like to dress this way too. It keeps you nice and cool, because warm-up pants are loose and airy. They also have the advantage of not getting as dirty as stretch pants quite as quickly.

Personally, I like to mix things up. Generally, I combine two different layers of gym pants. First I put on some stretch pants to wear underneath. These prevent me from chaffing, Something that is quite important when you work out as much as I do. Over that, I will usually put some warm up pants. These look better in my opinion, and also do not get as sweaty as the under layer. All in all, I make a pretty fashionable athlete when all is said and done. It is nice to know that, finally, I look good when I am getting my workout.
