Finding A Sophisticated Lady Dress

Filed under: Clothing — admin @ 9:05 am

Recently, my wife went to look for a sophisticated Lady dress. Now in general, my wife is not a particularly sharp dresser. Sophisticated lady dresses are certainly not her style. In general, she is a T-shirt and jeans person, which suits me just fine. We are both very casual people – that is one of the many things that we have in common. Still, looking for a formal evening dress is something that she occasionally find very exciting. After all, who doesn’t like to dress up now and then? I know I do!

If you are helping your wife look for bridal gown dresses (or dresses for any formal occasion), the most important thing is to remember not to speak your mind. Instead, tell her what she wants to hear. If you are like me, it doesn’t matter that much to you anyway. Tell her that the ones that she thinks look nice look nice, that the ones that she doesn’t like don’t look that good on her, and that all of them make her look thin. After all, most people don’t actually ask your opinion wanting to hear what you really think. Instead, they want confirmation of their own opinions.

When I went to the sophisticated lady dress store, I was all ready to help my wife pick out a dress. I had to learn the hard way that my opinion only mattered as a way to confirm what she already knew. When I told her that I didn’t like the first sophisticated lady dress that she tried on, I got a very ugly look from her. Apparently, When she asked me what I thought, she didn’t really wants to know. She just wanted me to tell her that what she thought was alright. For the rest of the time, I played it safe. Every sophisticated Lady dress that she tried on I said looked very good on her. Although this approach worked a little better, it still wasn’t quite what she wanted.

Finally, I learned to anticipate her opinion and offer one to confirm it. If I wasn’t sure if she thought a sophisticated lady dress looked good, I told her that I honestly couldn’t make up my mind, but that she looked very beautiful. Apparently, this approach pleased her great deal. She would always smile at the compliments, even if I didn’t have a strong opinion one way or the other.

Red Dress Gives You Power

Filed under: Clothing — admin @ 7:05 am

When we think about women’s health issues, we rarely think about heart conditions. However, heart disease is the number one cause of death for women. This news comes as a shock to many of us. The Heart Truth campaign was developed to heighten our awareness about heart disease in women.

The Heart Truth campaign has developed an iconic representation of its efforts, the Red Dress. Now that I see a scarlet colored dress, whether on a pin or on a lady, I now think of the importance of taking care of my heart. This illustrates how very powerful this image is for many of us.

The symbol of the red dress is one that holds so much power for many of us because of its very nature. Of course, they could not have possibly picked a more appropriate color for this icon. When we think of hearts, red naturally comes to mind. When we think of women and fashion there is no stronger image than the dress.

The launch of this campaign was initiated by former First Lady, Nancy Regan. She unveiled a display of red dresses worn by First Ladies over the years. This amazing collection of political fashions is truly breathtaking and it serves as a reminder of the Heart Truth campaign.

All of the fashions were donated by living First Ladies who have joined the Red Dress organization. These generous donations are truly remarkable and this collection has inspired other public figures to join in the awareness effort. Many of today’s most famous women are participating in this campaign.

The Red Dress Collection 2007 Fashion Show was a huge hit this year and it promises to bring many more events like this in the future. The event was sponsored by Johnson & Johnson and its affiliates. Many of today’s hottest celebrities participated in this outstanding event.

The Red Dress icon has been developed into a lovely enamel pin that can be worn as a reminder of this serious issue. The pin makes a wonderful statement but it also serves as an absolutely striking addition to a woman’s jewelry collection.

Whether you choose to attend an event, visit the exhibit or wear the enamel pin, it is very important that you consider your heart. The Red Dress symbol is a striking reminder that women need to take care of their bodies from the inside out. The heart is the place to start.
